Our Ivy League-educated tutors are young professionals who have been working in this field between 5 and 10 years.
They are both experienced enough that they know exactly what to avoid and how to navigate the process while they ascertain which universities could fit what you’re looking for, and they are also young enough that the university application experience is fresh in their minds, their knowledge isn’t outdated, and the high school student fears, workload, and aspirations are all still very relatable.
We know sometimes ambitions and circumstance can be hard to reconciliate, and having an independent tutor advising both parents and students is sometimes a great option to find the best possible path, while ensuring family dinners stay peaceful

A university choice is often first rooted in the academic reputation of the school as a whole.
However while looking for the best possible university for you, we need to take into account factors such as its academic excellence in specific majors, or strong connections to the job market, its urban, suburban or rural setting, if it’s a large college or close-knit community, its athletic interest, proximity to Europe, as well a tailored balance of target and reach universities.
These will greatly influence the individual experience in that environment, and are good predictors of academic performance.
We know it’s impossible to visit all of these places yourself to have a real experience of them, but we know all of these factors like the back of our hand.

SAT, ACT, Bocconi test, TOEFL, TOEIC, these acronyms are quickly overwhelming, tests have changed and requirements have too. There are subtle differences between them and some may be more suited to some students than others.
This is the reason we offer an initial consultation to determine which profile you best fit into, and if you choose not to work with us, you will not be charged for it. Don’t hesitate to book your trial session here

Unless you are in a recognized international programme, most universities will ask for a language test such as the TOEFL, TOEIC, Duolingo…
They can be taken online as many times as needed, and SAT prep will help somewhat with these test formats and questions.
In most cases, depending on your English level, you may not need prep beyond a brief introduction to question types specific to these tests. We will have you take a practice test on your own time and advise!
